John Scalzi's Old Man's War book series is on my top 5 Sci-Fi stories.
Tried to bring to image the main weapon of the protagonists, the MP 35, a multipurpose, self-maintaining assault rifle, capable of fire multiple calibers, from small arms to energy beans. Of course, it's nanomachines SON.
After some sketches decided to use the IWI TS 12 as a base, got excited with this process, and used a Laugo Arms Alien as a base for a pistol and a PDW, in the book these sidearms don't exist, but I really like the combo AR+Sidearm.
